Sam Hitchcock: Lightning Douse Flames

Very complete effort, Lightning locked down the Flames. I looked up at the scoreboard halfway thru the game and the Flames had 8 total shots. I think they ended up with 20 or so and only 10 or so high danger chances. If it weren't for the penalties the Lightning took and some bad zone coverage on the PK this game would have been even worse. I hope they continue playing like they did last night.

I'm not that high on the Flames. The Sharks, Vegas, Jets, Preds are better.

Winning is getting boring. Need more excitement/challenge for the rest of the season.

February Challenges:

Cooper- The Lightning need to finish the month of February with 100 points.
If Passed: Cooper gets an extension
If Failed: You cannot chew gum through the month of March (<--Coop chomping gum)

Kucherov- I like the 100 theme....so 100 points by the end of February.
If Passed: Lightning trade for his best budy Panarin.
If Failed: He must remove ALL lamps from his house for the month of March! (Because of his Lamp commercial)

Vasi- Make a behind the back save in the month of February
If Passed: You get a kitten!
If Failed: You give up a kitten!

Paquette and Martel are the new Hull and Oates. LOL.
