If Chiasson, Rieder, Petrovic and Kassian can bring us 3 mid-to-low picks and a solid but unspectacular prospect, management should be all over that. Benning still serves a purpose and fulfills his role more than adequately. He's exactly the type of player I want to be around to help support our prospects.

Beat the Islanders tonight! They got upset with us last night. Barzal was quite upset.

So Puju takes warm ups vs the Isles when it’s known he isn’t playing....all of a sudden ends up on IR....supposedly he will be ready by the weekend....meanwhile I guess local Edmonton media guy sees Puju removing his sticks from the dressing room....now apparently his stay on the IR will be longer and Hitch has zero idea what’s going on tho in fairness how many injuries are openly discussed? Usually teams say LBI or UBI without providing much detail....so Puju is some how is legit hurt which certainly means no trade will happen or maybe he was placed on IR because he won’t go to the Condors? So many different ways to spin it

Should we keep Benning? Yes he would be worth keeping on a bottom pair role but will we keep him? At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if he was moved at the TDL

The timing certainly seems to suggest that, but I've heard very little regarding any true talks with other teams. There is still questions on whether or not it is the Puljujarvi camp is resisting being sent to the AHL. There is very little logic in anything that has happened with JP.

I wouldn't mind keeping chiasson , an ok utility player who actually looks like he gives a crap out there

Sounds like jp and the team have decided a move is best. Hopefully we can get another teams prospect in a similar situation. Dylan Strome, domi type of player comes to mind.
