Glad to see you agree on the goalie interference no call. There are alot of GI calls this year that have spurred controversy, and rightfully so. That to me was not one of them at all.

Backs was nowhere in the paint and Subban tried to snag it a foot or so out of the paint. The player is allowed to deflect it there. We call that GI then the league will be in real rough shape.

The Knights have proven themselves time & time again to be pure competitors. They run with the big dogs as well as anyone else, and Gallant is possibly the best coach in the league.

That being said, his choice to start Subban against Calgary reeks of arrogance and playing down to an opponent you really shouldn't be playing down to. Especially considering Malcolm's last start at the dome.

As pointed out by the blogger (sorry, didn't check the name), Gallant challenges a lot. It seems every time i watch a VGK game, every single time someone scores against them, either Gallant challenges, or the goaltender begins crying to the ref. It comes across as unsportsmanlike. I don't watch many non-Calgary games to be honest, but that's something I've noticed this year.

I def don't want the Flames to play the Knights in the opening round, but if we do, I hope that Gallant's arrogance is his downfall.

edit: great blog, btw.

Pretty insightful reply. He does seem to be the type that hates losing and wants to state dominance. Some of his decisions have been mindboggling, especially the deployment of the goalies.
