Ralph Krueger has been named head coach of the Buffalo Sabres.
"Throughout his career, Ralph has shown the ability to adapt to a variety of high-pressure environments while leading some of the world's elite players," Sabres GM Jason Botterill said. "His strong communication skills, leadership and diverse background make him a uniquely qualified candidate to lead our team going forward." Krueger is the 19th head coach in franchise history after Buffalo fired Phil Housley following the 2018-19 season.

don't know...but I like a lot of what I've been reeding, most notably how he delegated x's and o's to paul Maurice with team Europe, among other things

well, he did surprise the world cup of hockey with a helluva a run to the finals with a less than competent (relatively speaking) roster in 2016...
he seems to know how to coach and use what's at his disposal

Ok Michael....let's see the results in Buffalo. Yes, we are pessimistic after years of poor hockey from this once proud franchise. Again, it is the results that matter.

he was done coaching hockey, sabres convinced him to come back


this is the tricky part, once you checked out and decided to pursue life w/o coaching hockey, do you have it mentally to come back years later, short term let alone long term

So skinner is the new GM 🤔

Which is what we all assumed. I would want to know who I am going to play under if I was debating signing a 5-8 year contract of the prime of your professional career.

I like him. My point was more so it doesn't matter who the coach is if they don't have an NHL competent roster.
