Voracek certainly looked like a motivated man!! Big game for him.
I wonder what the greatest goal in Flyer history is? |

Hope that increases jakes trade value... |

In terms of significance, Rick MacLeish's deflection goal in the 1-0 Cup winner vs.Boston or Bob Kelly's goal in the opening seconds of the third period in the Cup winner vs. Buffalo. |

I was gonna go with game two of the 1974 finals against the Bruins, Clarke’s OT winner tied the series up and gave us momentum.
Either that or JJ Daigneault’s game six winner in 1987. |

Great to see the Flyers do so well in the Worlds, they seem to really excel when playing inferior talent...
Funnest Goal?
Sinasalo, backwards between the legs... |

Bill Meltzer: Worlds: A Day Voracek Will Never Forget - bmeltzer
I could go either way with Jake in terms of a trade. I personally like our top six with Giroux, Couturier, Voracek, Van Riemsdyk, Patrick and Konecny. Lindblom is a nice piece as well, and Frost has potential to make the team. I am far and away concerned with our bottom six. What their roles are. Can they handle being apart of special teams. Giroux and Couturier having to start most PK’s is unacceptable to me. |

Will put my 2 cents in here and go with Clarke's OT goal in game 2 of the 74 finals. If the Flyers don't win that game and fall into an 0-2 hole, they probably don't win the Cup. As big as the Cup winning goals were, to me, that was the biggest. |

My favorite part of Bill's article is Couturier volunteering to play defense. Shows his unselfishness. |

I think Boston is taking it. Rask is Fort Knox and that PP/top line is cooking.
Congratulations Jake. That's one heck of a day. |

I have loved this kid since day one. What more can you ask for. Legit 1c, wins over 50 percent of his face offs, elite defensive play and oh yeah, what the (frank), if we are short I'll throw some extra shifts in at d.
Actually, when a d man pinches in and a forward rotates I get nervous. If the other team breaks out I look for the forward. Coots is the only forward that I feel comfortable with when he covers. |
