I went to the 1990 (Nedved) draft, free admission in BC Place. And obviously out on the town after. |

Carol,
Any truth to the rumours that you're had preliminary discussions with Aquillini about joining the front office to help with trades?
Also, how long before we hear a Corey Perry rumour? |

Feel like he might sign with one of the top teams in the West like Nashville, Vegas or Calgary. |

If you want to build a winner, you need players with the optimal balance of skill & will. It's always been guys like Ryan O'Reilly, more so than the elite skill players.
Watching O'Reilly in the finals had me thinking that Bo Horvat could possibly make that kind of impact some day.
As skilled as Bure was, what made him great was his competitiveness. Pettersson is slight and highly skilled but you can also see the determination burning in him.
That desire to win, along with the skill, strength and ability to compete in the playoffs is hopefully now the Canucks' definition for their 'type' of player. If that's the case, I don't care whether they pick a forward or a d-man.

I liked Petey's answer about playoff hopes. The Blues showed this year that you can get on a hot streak and go on a run no matter who you are. Always push for playoffs, you never know what might happen |

I'm happy with any of my 1st 12 ranked players picked at 10. I want to say I have a preference on what I would like but anywhere from 3-12 in my rankings is pretty bunched up for what I perceive each individual worth to a hockey club. |

Thanks Carol! good thing Calder is regular season only, but Petey has this one in the bag. Hayes at 7.15 seems so outlandish! |

My buddy and I are kind of lucky, we had planned this since last year, but didn't get tickets... Luckily my daughter's bf came through with tickets to the Flames suite!

So in your rankings, 3-12 are more or less interchangeable?
wow, that’s interesting |

You can add you top 15 rankings into the 2019 draft thread if you feel like it. |

Don’t have to find that @ 10... Madden is going to be that type. Rees and Grewe are my fav competitive beast mode guys with top 6 skill ceilings in this draft & we might be able to get one @ 40. |

Canucks are playin possum & holding off on trade(s) announcements for a bigger draft splash. Betting Bettman prefers that if other teams are ok with it.
We have a trade to announce... |

that, and probably a couple of moves may be contingent of something else happening. |
