I did not like kulikov's game at all but analytically didn't he lead all Jets D last night?
my point, are you using eye test last night over your analytics? just trying to get you to admit this so I can use it at a later date

changes to consider;

-flip copp and shiefele or Lowry and Copp ( 27 and 26 can drive a line by themselves and lets try 55 with 81 and 29)

-flip Gust for Letestu or bourque, I don't care which one comes out, the other should come out when little is back

-flip poolman with Kulikov

-flip Dahlstrom with Bietto

The game was a fun one to watch for the most part. There is a few tweaks to be made going forward but I'm getting the feeling that we will be ok. No doubt our back end has been depleted and we could use Buff back to log some big minutes.

I'm hopeful that we spoil the Hughes entry to the league tonight.

This idea that Buff is going to be some superhero to save the defense is crazy
The guy is contemplating retirement, what's his conditioning while he is away from the team? People are taking pictures of him at restaurants not hitting the gym or on skates at an arena somewhere.
If he comes back it's to collect 6 plus million and wave goodbye to the fans in April.

The Jets should put Poolman with Morrissey and keep Heinola with Pionk together and if Maurice insists on having Kulikov, for his veteran presence and Bietto, who's good in the room in the lineup he should pair them together and put them on the ice for 8 min at most. Also Gustafsson should replace useless Letestu. The Jets should win this game if they get some timely saves.

I also had heard about pondering retirement a week before it “broke”.

Hoping not true but makes sense as next step.

What I’m really hoping for is a trade to a team who sees him as a 1-yr going for it option

Ok. Enough or the barbs back and forth. The Leafs without a doubt have a very good team this year. Back end has improved as well. They should have a very good season. Next year they will be in our situation on D. No cap left and a ton of UFA /RFA's = trouble.

I hate to say this but I'd be shocked if the Jets won tonight. The back end of a back-to-back against a vastly improved Devil's team. Suspect defense. If just doesn't seem to be a good setting for a win. I truly hope I'm wrong.
