On Friday in Vancouver, the Canucks were not so fortunate, dropping a 6-5 shootout decision to the Washington Capitals after building a 5-1 second-period lead.

Marwood, I know it’s not tequila but try this for the wife. 1 ounce of raspberry vodka, 1 ounce of regular vodka, 1 ounce of chambord, 4 ounces of pineapple juice, one fresh squeezed lime, 5 fresh raspberries. Shake vigorously. Serve in a martini glass with a few fresh raspberries for a garnish.

Try this. Very famous, prohibition-era cocktail called a Clover Club:

1 ½ oz. gin
½ oz. fresh lemon juice
½ oz. dry vermouth
½ oz. raspberry syrup
1 egg white
Tools: shaker, strainer
Glass: cocktail
Garnish: raspberry

Shake all ingredients without ice, then once egg white froths up, add ice and shake again. Strain.

If you want a great one, Pourhouse in gastown is my choice.
