Lias father weighed in:

I feel like Lias has been very clear with the media that this has nothing to do with him playing in the AHL. Still people keep mentioning it, they just don’t get it.I’m proud and happy for Lias for taking this decision, I 1000 percent support him just as I hope any parent would. He hasn’t been feeling well which is sad, and the important thing now is that he focuses on that and on his own well being.I can talk about the details even less than Lias can. That’s for Lias to do when he feels ready.

We can’t talk about him starting to play hockey again right now. It’s much more important for him to find happiness in life again. That means more than anything else.

Then I asked if DQ heard Larry David telling @DonLagreca
he was upset Kaapo Kakko get benched late in the Calgary game.

"Listen, I’ve watched a few bad Seinfelds and Curb (Your Enthusiasm) episodes." 😂

He added: "I still love Larry David and his work."

Congrats on Shesty. I've watched him in the AHL this year and previously. He is good.

Also how tf does Lindgren avoid that suspension

You would think that seeing Shesty get a 2nd straight start with Georgie as a healthy scratch should get GM's around the league to pick up the phone and try to get the ball rolling, no?
I hope we can wrestle a little more than the average going rate for a "backup" out of whoever it is, but I still don't see a more likely outcome than him being moved.

I know. I maintain that it wasn't a dirty hit, but fully expected them to label it as illegal.

Quotes aren't working for me but on DQ & Larry David, that's the kind of lack of introspection and transparency that we're looking for

DQ just went down a few notches in my book. No such thing as a bad Seinfeld or Curb episode.

It was completely avoidable hard contact to the head. They have to get that poop out of here

I don't disagree with you, I do just think sometimes the intent and what happened needs to be considered more. Sometimes just giving a penalty or kicking him out of the game (Lindgren didn't get ejected but didn't play the rest of the game) should be enough. I don't think everything has to be suspension.

Would y’all do something like Kreider, Georgy and Lias for Edmonton’s first this year, poopoojarvi and Yamamoto? Or another prospect. I said Yamamoto because he is the only one I’ve heard of out there

I like that kinda deal in particular because those are NHL ready guys, so we would have guys to plug in

Listen I love to watch bad things happen to the Rangers as much as anyone, but that wasn't a dirty hit. Head can be the initial point of contact as long as it's not the main point of contact. I think the league got that one right.

I thought I read something that says Kreider has all the Canadian teams on his no-trade list

I'm not sure EDM would give up that much. Even if you think that they will just dump pool party, I'm not sure the 3 listed above would equate to Yamamoto and a 1st. Of course it's the Oilers, so of course they would be dumb and do it.

I think for a 4th line role, I'm OK with Fogarty there. He's played really well for the pack too, so it's not like others were passed up.

I'm not sure Holland is much better. Pretty easy being the GM in Detroit when your whole dynasty's core was already assembled for you.

He should reassess. And imagine himself playing with McDavid and making copious amounts of cash starting next year because of him
