Thanks carol ! The games in hand are irrelevant. Only way the Canucks would make the playoffs is if the season ended today. Clean house before the draft

Thank you Carol! Not looking to rosy for the Canucks... a big win against the Avs would go a long way, but that's asking a lot right now.

Well done Carol.

Sucks that reality is setting in but I still consider the season a step in the right direction.

Next year.

They will still make the playoffs. Green has then on the right track. Nobody in the pacific scares me, as long as they don’t finish in wild card 2, they have a good chance to go to the conference finals!

God I hope so, their play away from the puck is terrible and the team needs a new direction to build on the young core. Big mess to clean up but some great young pieces to build on.

Nothing Gallant can't handle, Green is overwhelmed.

And after the last few years it is finally nice to see 95% of posters finally getting caught up to me that Green isn't a good systems coach, pretty much everyone except Vintsy and Insider Don.

In the o-zone it’s like a blue collar cycle system. Not even a cycle that creates chances. Rim it on the boards and keep shoveling it around the outside. Creates zero offence.

Then on D - I mean, come on stetcher. Take that on the back hand and take the hit. Horrible game management.

I’m still a believer. Just a frustrated one haha

Green was a good coach to help bring the youth along and to get them to play the "right way" and be a pro. I think JB's plan has accelerated with Petey and now Quinn, so we don't need someone to lay the foundation and framework for the kids.

I like TG too, think he'll be a good coach, he just has to learn the ropes a bit more elsewhere

I think green is a fine coach. That being said, the troops aren’t motivated right now and it’s time for change.

I still like our chances at playoffs better than the other teams trying o get a final wild card spot. But another loss and our season is as good as over. Esp if the other teams all win one. Colorado will not be an easy team to beat either.

Quote the Province:
" Post-game, Tocchet was openly proud of his team’s resolve and effort to find the win late.

“I thought the first period, we had a really good first… we had 16 shots. I liked our game and then the second, I think that’s when the Canucks started to come. They were hitting the weak side with their speed. We were backing in a little bit too much, obviously Kuemper was there, he made some great stops for us....."

This is our problem all the time, and when a team cycles. We never pressure and then shots go through and get tipped.

Brutal let down. I don't mind Green hanging around but Baumgartner should be replace with a veteran defensive specialist.

JV getting mentored hard by JTM. Too bad he doesn't have the hands.

They aren’t going to win them all. It doesn’t matter if they lose the next one, or win 5 then lose 1.

I figure we have 2 games grace. Hard to imagine beating the AVS with Big mac, but good players seem to bring out the best in us. If we go 1-4 onthe home stand then it is other teams' hands. if we can win 2 out of 4 our win and OTW should push us through.
Now that we might have some cap space will we lose Tofoli because we suck? That is brutal.
