Thank you Carol .
It is great that you are turning this into a gathering place in the void of no sports.
Stick Tap to Vanessa Jang . She has been prominent on Twitter and in the Canucks community . She has been at social gatherings for some of the female Twitter fans and very positive in her spare time . I believe she has taken up juggling to learn a new hobby during the void. She is a positive influence and there are a few of those girls on Twitter very well versed in Canucks and Community events.
I imagine over the next little while there will be a lot of name calling and verbal abuse on these threads . I know the irony of Vantel saying lets try to get along.
The more info we get the better we will all be so lets keep our eye on the ball. We are hockey experts and future GMs but the truth is we know very little about this virus and we don't need to add to the hysteria.
Hopefully in the next few days weeks and months a lot of positives will come forward like firing Loui out of a cannon to the direction of the sun.
Enjoy gentlemen and thank you Carol. |

i can fcuking read.
i provide articles and studies with opinions and facts from doctors/scientists and experts.
i'll rely on their collective opinions when it comes to their areas of expertise. i don't base my opinions on my emotions or feelings. i don't try to interpret medical/scientific advice through my political leaning.
why is it that you won't trust the consensus from experts in their fields when it comes to science and medicine? what makes you qualified in your disagreement when the vast majority of experts in the field agree?
Reading and interpreting are very different things. Relying on the collective doesn't mean you interpret what they are saying correctly.
Who says I don't trust what they are saying? I haven't really said anything about it.
I'm not even saying you aren't correct, you must have missed that because you're too busy ranting like you are "smarter" than others in here.

Thanks Carol how about women's curling that's an ice event worth covering.Scotties Tournament of hearts to go along with the TP hysteria. Its the only thing on right now and as people isolate and binge watch whatever the need to escape into sports will grow more. |

As someone mentioned before it’s like the dog days of summer happening mid-season. Deep down we all like the abuse. That’s why we keep coming back. We’re all sick (frank)s.

As much as it’s difficult to read tone, it was your tone that precipitated that response me thinks. That and your obvious argumentative nature, which is well documented. |

I thought about suggesting that you all be nice to each other, but I felt like that would just be one more difficult lifestyle change for everybody to process
At this point, I think the appropriate course of action is for y'all be as combative as you usually are when the mood strikes. Not moreso...just the same... |

That's cancelled too. It was supposed to start today in Prince George.
I think some of the sports channels have been re-running events, which makes things confusing...
As far as I know, the only stuff that's still on is UFC and pro wrestling.
NASCAR and rugby cancelled today.
KHL playoffs sound like they're in limbo after Jokerit pulled out and went home to Finland.
Anything else still happening that I'm overlooking?

I don't know about behind closed doors but Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian MHL all played games this morning. Ukraine and Turkey also played.
Rugby played games today in England.
Cricket is being played in South Africa.

With Jokerit forfeiting, Vasily Podkolzin and his SKA mates are awarded the second-round victory.
Jokerit is a Finnish-based club. No Russian teams have cancelled play as of yet.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Jokerit is Jari Kurri's team they pulled out but it is expected Putin is going to shut the KHL down Monday anyways |

Playoff formats If they ever play again this year)
16 teams by points percentage
24 teams by standings
Shortened playoff rounds best of 3-5 or soccer style 2 game aggregate.
How about the draft:
Standings by points percentage?
Bottom 15 picks are all done by lotto instead of just top 3. |

So are Madden and the 2nd round pick now considered a complete waste if there’s no playoffs? If were a GM and owner I’d be pissed at the wasted assets and draft picks spent on rentals for the postseason. |

I was reading the other day, there are a few stipulations in a couple of the trades that would change what pick a team would get. Sucks for some teams because a few of them were for sure to upgrade. |

The same could be said for every team that made a move |
