The Bundesliga restarted today with 6 games scheduled. They can be seen on Fox Sports. Some observations: The stadium is completely empty. You could clearly here the voices of the coaches as their commands echoed in the emptiness. Kind of eerie. The play on the pitch seemed pretty normal. When the home team scored they played an audio tape of the home crowd singing their goal chant. There was no hugging or touching of the goal scorer to celebrate. Instead teammates stood around him, a few feet away and just applauded. Overall I would say it’s an encouraging start for the return of sports.

One of the greatest goals in franchise history. I was there that night and the building exploded when Poulin’s shot hit the net.

"Poulin For More" — Highlights of the game to take you down memory lane, including handshake and trophy presentation. Poulin's goal sequence starts around the 3:22 mark:

I don't think the Spectrum ever got quiet even for one nanosecond after that. And there was a failed 2-on-1 attempt right after that goal that helped keep everyone on their feet.

Such a different game. That two hander on Sutter would be called every time now.

Karma: the player that cracked his ribs in Game 2 is the player who turned the puck over to him.

I was only 5 in ‘85, so I can’t honestly say I remember that even though hockey was a mainstay in our household.

This is the short handed goal which always comes to mind for me, and we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of that *almost*, yet still incredible, run.
