Very true. I remember Alain Nasreddine's one and only NHL goal with the 2006-7 Penguins. He was a career AHL defensemen who nevertheless played over half of that season in the NHL due to injuries and general lack of depth/skill of the team at defense. He was a constant weak link in the defense. Nevertheless, he scored a very memorable goal in front of his home town (Montreal) that season - his one and only NHL goal. I am sure that was very special for him and he has that puck in a prominent position on his mantel. There are lots of career AHL players who have zero NHL goals.

And regarding the title of Paul's article, always trying to get the "pretty" goals and passing up chances at "dirty" goals is a perpetual source of frustration among Pens fans, whether it was the Lemieux and Jagr-led teams of the past or the current Crosby/Malkin-lead teams.
