James Tanner: The Coyotes Should Trade for Jack Eichel + Countdown Resumes - James_Tanner
Not happening. A GM would basically have to gut his own team to acquire Eichel. Quality over quantity. Plus the Sabres haven't said that Eichel is even available. Any GM can say "Boy we'd sure love to trade for Jack Eichel."
It doesn't mean it's happening. Eichel is sick of losing. I get it. But he still has alot of years left on his contract. He's in his prime. He's one of the best players in the league. Buffalo isn't going to trade him just for the sake of trading him. Even if they did decide to trade him, it would certainly be more than what you're offering. |

Yeah definitely not. But even if it also includes Keller and four firsts, you couldn't make a bad trade I don't think if you were getting Eichel. |

If you have to ship out that much talent, how is the result going to be much better than what is going on in Buffalo? I'm not overly familiar with BUF, but he's been there for five years and they haven't sniffed the playoffs.
I agree that Eichel is an outstanding talent, but everyone is going to need help. |

Von female genitaliah is probably the best villain ever made. Also the throat rip is my favourite hand to hand combat move, they should allow it in UFC. First of all, you will never be me, and second of all, I forget your question.
And then we'll just.....see what happens. |

Still can’t believe Chychrun fell to 16th in his draft year. Was highly touted at 2nd overall right behind Matthews for the longest time. |

I'm still bitter Detroit didn't draft Chychrun. |

Like I can't believe anyone in here wants to talk about anything other than MacGruber to be honest. |

A lot of things about Pop Star are better - and I prefer the music aspect over it - but why I ranked MacGrubes higher is because I still can't believe someone gave them ten million dollars and let them do whatever they wanted. Threres a f=you aspect of MacGruber that , IMO, elevates it to something beyond a normal comedy. |

Well I can’t say I thought that MacGruber was going to be on the short list of things I agree with tanner on. I recall when that came out my hockey team quoting the movie for at least half the season.
While I don’t think buffalo moves eichel as they want to try an compete sooner than later but that deal would be intriguing. Add raanta and I would call it plausible due to Buffalo’s needs. Carter Hutton is a contender for worst goalie this year not named jimmy Howard or Martin Jones.
As tanner’s alluded to before Arizona isn’t a good team but they receive amazing goaltending to make up for it. Injury or regression in kuemper could easily land those 2 firsts very high, OEL is getting close to the end of his prime but is still one of the steadier D in the league, hayton’s a stud prospect and has real potential and raanta has shown what he can do with a below average team playing in front of him as well.
It would be a massive gamble but if buffalo decided to cut ties and play the long game the potential reward on that deal is incredibly high.

Man you guys really have an inflated value for this kid. He is good, don’t get me wrong, but I look to another kid who was traded around Eichels age. Tyler Seguin. Eichel is easily better than Seguin was then, and Seguin was traded in a notoriously bad trade. But to think that a stud D man, a promising centre, and 2 firsts isn’t anywhere close to enough might be a little misguided. I think that deal is at most a good prospect away from being a done deal. |

The problem with Buffalo is they sold off any talent they had pre Eichel to tank for him. Fast forward to today, and they still struggle to ice 2 lines of bonafide NHL talent. Forget the bottom 6.
The problem with the proposed trades in this thread is the Yotes would be strip mining their own talent depth to get Eichel. So you have him. You definitely can't keep Hall now. Who will he play with? Kessel? Washed. Schmaltz? Maybe. After that you have a collection of meh bottom 6ers that you're paying too much for. |

That’s The Other Guys with Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg. The Nice Guys is with Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling. Both very funny movies though. |
