First time ever first. Have to agree about Murphy. Kid plays hard and while he can get caught flat-footed, he's hard-nosed, and a solid 3-4 on a team that gives up a lot of high danger chances. Viewed as a replacement for the ultimate warrior and elite defensive defenseman, Hammer, it was and is tough living up to such high expectations though among the locals. |

I’d also add Strome, DeBrincat, Boqvist, Mitchell, and Beaudin to that young core the Hawks are forming along with the 3 you mentioned(Dach, Nylander, and Kubalik). |

If we can package them together and find a return that upgrades the overall roster, then yes I’m still on board with a potential trade. But it’s not like I’m trying to get rid of them in exchange for a bag of chips just for the sake of getting rid of them...
Only if the return upgrades the team.
And until that happens they’re still part of the young core. |

Always interesting to see outside perspective on Hawks players or the club in general.
Nylander is horrid. The kid has million dollar hands and a 10 cent brain.
Crawford still doesn't get a lot of respect even though he has been one of the best goalies in the league when healthy and he is consistent year in and year out. |

Nylander is definitely not “horrid”...lol
Thought he played a solid 200 ft game without many noticeable boneheaded mistakes. Maybe some. But nothing bad for a rookie. His positives far outweigh his negatives based on what I’ve seen. |

Idk about that. Thought Nylander was stringing together some good games with Kane and Strome before the season ended.
Sure, anyone could look good with Kane but he didn't look as good playing on the top line earlier and I thought he started to figure things out a bit.
I think Crawford is probably the most underrated from a national perspective and at the local level it's Murphy. |
