I think this is an actual step in the rebuild for the Rangers. Dump him for a younger defensive mind for the D corp.

He’s damaged goods with the hip surgeries but the defense blows. Blackwood has done better but it’s hard on any goalie.

Nice scoop by Weekes ( assuming he's correct! ).

Good for Lindy --- won't miss him, but I never thought he was a bad guy, so its good to see him get a promotion. I think his role here was not just defensive coach, but to be an experienced hand to assist Quinn transition to the pro game. Now that the Rangers are satisfied Quinn can do the job, let him hand pick his next assistant.

Some Rangers defensemen improved under Ruff. I am sure Fox, Lindgren and Tony D can credit Ruff with some of their growth and improvement. However, there are NO EXCUSES for the defense to fall back upon should they regress next season.

I think Lindy going to the Devils only adds more juice to the rivalry which is a good thing!

It better, if the Canes turn the Rangers D into swiss cheese during the playoffs the Devils may pull out

I kind of feel that its exaggerated how much of a detriment was as a coach with the Rangers but I also fail to see the appeal he has to the Devils and all their youngsters.
