Thanks Carol.
Good luck to Judd , I always liked him
I think the next year , maybe two are going to be very dependent on virtual scouting. I think Jim did make an excellent hire in Ryan Beich |

I don't understand your boner for this kid? You got him penciled into every lineup you make lately. Don't get me wrong he had a good sophomore year but The kid isn't even signed and hasn't played a professional game yet. Might wanna pump the brakes there big trucker. - Brooks_Light
Tracking him since he was drafted. Had a gut feeling about him since then. Before him it was Adam Fox who ironically was partnered with Jack his last year at Harvard. Some thought maybe he carried Jack but he is doing better without him.

I have OJ slightly ahead of him but only cuz older & bigger. Edler won’t be around much longer & the left side looks to be in great shape although very young. |

OJ's development has been hampered by injuries he's got the skill, will and right attitude. That's why he's not on the team now.
https://theprovince.com/s...al-shot-at-canucks-roster
But it looks like he can prove himself at this camp and maybe push out Fatty to play LD on bottom pair. His concentration lately to be a PK specialist will serve him well to carve a role on the Canucks now. Puck moving on 5x5 will also be a factor that helps him stand out.
As for Rathbone he's talented and a great prospect but below OJ in the development curve. Probably could use 1 year development playing pro in Europe or AHL. He's not UFA eligible until Aug 15 2022 as posted by Cap Friendly. |

I’m ok with OJ & willing to have patience. Yes injuries have slowed down his progress but it also was the same for Jake with his shoulder. No rush. With the way the roster is currently constructed there is opportunity on D next year & beyond. Jack is likely to be maybe ready for the 2021 season. If sooner that’s even better. Like i previously said LHD looks very interesting for years to come. RHD is more behind but they are the toughest to fix other than probably a 1C which we have.

On that Province article on OJ injuries hurt mobility no doubt. Leafs Reilly playing through injury this season had the same issues. A healthy OJ will figure it out. |

Thinking on LHD Hughes OJ Rathbone they all can use a Tanev type partner unless 1 can switch to the right side without missing beat. Hughes said he can play there ok.
Myers is the only RHD locked up for awhile so I can see Tanev being re-upped. Stecher doesn’t fit our needs imo so he’s either on the cheap cheap or gone for a cheap stay at home RHD. Those are not that difficult to find it comes down to the who & how much so the cap is ok. |

$5,875,000 Cap hit for BB, so exploring a trade makes sense. He'd net a good return. |
