Def need a huge rebound game. If they get blown away this game it could be a short series. The first goal is key and the top forwards have to start playing here. Hope tk is ok and plays.

No idea. They didn't practice yesterday and Vigneault wouldn't comment or hint (as he did with Raffl).

If everyone is healthy its hard to make too many tweaks with no practices. Its best to leave people with familiar partners. The change needs to come from within.

Id be shocked to see raffl but hope tk makes it.

Imagine talking about it being a short series in favor of the 24th seed in this playoff? I mean really? If they lose this series in game 7 2-1 in 50 overtimes they are going to get shredded. You can't lose to inferior team with these expectations.

At the end of round robin play, the Flyers were the favorite in the Eastern Conf. to reach the SCF. They played a terrible game 2, it happens. I see no reason to jump off the roof based on one game. The LVK (an expansion team) are the favorites in the Western Conf, they are blowing the Hawks out of the water. Who are the Kane and Toews on Montreal?

I love Ghost but still think going back to Haag is best for this game. We need a little physicality on the back end. Ghost's shot will be missed but I can't imagine Myers, Provolone and Sandy cant get enough shots through - Not to mention Niskanen - Although the last 2 games have been rough on the vet. I expect him to rebound today nicely - expect or at least hope. If TK is out I would LOVE to see Pitlick tried higher in the line up a few shifts, The kid really seems to make the plays to get the puck to the net at all costs, Got to think that could suit that line nicely.

As a Habs fan, I enjoy reading posts from opposite teams. Thank you for your post.

The truth is that the the Habs are unpredictable, capable of the best and the worst. This is why we were not about to make the series this year. Now that the playoffs have started, everything is possible and we have been pretty much consistent so far. This is great news.... We could have won game one, even if the Flyers played slithly better.

Do I think we are going to win this series? Not close. Tonight's game going to be determinent, whatever who wins. The way the Flyers players respond will be the main indicator on which direction this series will go. For now, we have the momentum, but it can change very quickly.

1. Don't care about the Pens.
2. Pens weren't a favorite in the Eastern Conf. to reach the SCF.
3. When you win back to back Cups a few years ago it provides a grace period

Got the excuses in the holster already after two games huh?

Flyers were not a favorite to win the SC in the east, Tampa and Boston were, followed by Caps, and then teams like Flyers/Toronto. Just because we went on a ten game run before the break does not make us a favorite to win the cup.

Thanks for commenting and chatting hockey with us! I have to admit that I am very surprised by how the Hans have swarmed Philly and not given them space. Watching Philly try to go through the NZ the other night was agonizing. I have learned to have respect for the habs. You guys have some very talented young kids on your team

I’m not making any excuses. The Habs look like a good team to me. I don’t care what their record was in March. Right now they’re playing great. The regular season was long ago and these playoffs are anything but normal. I’ll believe the Flyers are the better team when they start showing it.

Exactly, if you are viewing this Montreal team as the 24 seed you are a moron.

Habs fan, I appreciate your commentary and your civility posting on this board. Credit to the Habs and especially Carey Price, which as we all know is capable of winning a series with his play alone. I don’t, however, think tonight’s winner is a lock to win the series, especially if it’s a tight game. If the Flyers lose in the dying minutes of the regulation or OT, I think they’ll be out for bear in game 4. If the Habs lose (while playing as well as they have been), it will still not be an easy road ahead for Philly. Lots of minutes left in this series!

For our team, as Peter Laviolette used to say, the Flyers need more “jam.”

Go Flyers!

August 13th after we had won game 1, nice try, that’s a shifted odds perspective.

I don't think it's a lock for the winning team. If the Flyers plays as they did in game 2, I think this series will become at the advantage of MTL. It's a question of attitude and willingness.
