I wonder whether the guy who sits might be someone like Jordan Eberle who has been mostly invisible lately. If Barry is shuffling the lineup, maybe he moves Brassard up to the top 6, clearing a spot on the 3rd line for Kuhnackl or Johnston? - JohnScammo
Unless Eberle is banged up I don’t see him coming out in my opinion.
The lines are all contributing offensively which is a good thing and Ebs is streaky and can get hot and pop a few in at anytime. |

I doubt very much trotz sits eberle but he has made some pretty shocking line changes over the years with the caps so who knows? Still highly doubt it. Eberle did have two assists yesterday (one a secondary)... |

I agree that Ebs is streaky in terms of his goal-scoring/point production. But maybe Barry isn't happy with some other aspect of his play? I'm purely guessing here, obviously, and doing so, based on Staple's tweet that Barry was hinting at lineup changes. Of course, someone may just be banged up that we don't know about, too. |

I would leave Eberle in especially after two assists. Nelson really needs to start producing though. |

Beau took a hit down low in the third and looked real uncomfortable at the time but he did come back in the game. He might fall into the banged up category. |

So maybe Brassard is gonna center the 2nd line? Nelson didn't look good yesterday, so who knows??? |

Did not notice that. OK, that might be the explanation. |

Nelson is fine. That line has been the best line at times in the playoffs. Nelson has been shooting and its a matter of time before he gets another one. |

The line is fine but Nelson needs to chip in some goals as well. Beau cannot do it all and it will only help if Nelson gets back on the scoresheet. |

The Nelson, Bailey, Beau line has honestly been the Islanders best line Ses. Nelson has been great in my opinion as well as Bailey who has created a couple goals on his own with assume passes. Tito has been the Islanders best and most consistent player on the team. |

Eberle gets 2 assists yesterday, and you think Barry should sit him today??
WTF?
Thanks for your expert input, chuckles. |

The line yes but I'm talking about just Nelson. It will only help Beau if Nelson or Bailey can start scoring as well. If Beau goes cold Nelson and Bailey have to pick up the slack. |

You sir, are very entertaining. IF (and I mean no way) your analysis of Nelson was correct, Pags would move up and Brass would go back to centering the 3rd.
Think injuries and dings. Beau, who took a big hit, Pelech, who tweaked his leg, and/or Clutter, who took another nasty hip check to the right side would be the most likely 3, imo. |

3 goals 5 assists and plus 5 in 12 PO games is more than a half a point a game. That’s awesome for the POs. |

Since play resumed the second line has been everything you could ask for in a second line. Nelson has made some great plays. He had one bad game, he'll be fine. |

Larry giving Garth love? Larry must have read my comments yesterday about Lou and Barry doing this with Garth players. - ses111
We've debated Snow's drafting for years. That was never the real issue. There is no way Snow would have brought in Trotz - even if Trotz would have agreed to the job under Snow. You could have given Snow an all-star team and he still would have failed. I can't wait for his contract to be up even though he doesn't have any power. I don't want him to be any part of the Islander organization. |
