Carol Schram: A tough third period on Sunday has the Canucks on the brink of elimination After all the optimism surrounding the NHL's two-day pause in support of racial justice, the Vegas Golden Knights carried those positive vibes back to the ice better than the Vancouver Canucks. After a 3-0 shutout loss on Saturday and a 5-3 loss on Sunday, the Canucks now find themselves one game away from playoff elimination.

I agree about Hughes, he hasn't been the offensive dynamo he was the first 2 rounds, but he certainly doesn't look out of place or overwhelmed to me.

Hopefully TG can make some more adjustments and they can come out with a win in game 5.

I think he's looked overwhelmed at times. The Blues played him hard but they gave him space. Vegas has hit him WAY more than the Blues were able to and have taken away almost all his space to skate and carry the puck. Think he – and most of the Canucks D – look a little overwhelmed with the Vegas forecheck most of the time

I really think they should be aerialing it out of the zone more... Vegas sends 2 or 3 deep, and the Canucks try to pass it around them or slide it up the boards and then their D activate, which has caused a lot of bad turnovers. Flip it out and skate onto it. Canucks forwards have enough speed to make that an issue.

It's been driving me crazy the past few games – trying way too hard to be a possession team in their own end. And the times they have aerialed it, which aren't many, have mostly led to possession and odd man rushes the other way.

Well done Carol as usual.

Hughes looked 'better' last night as Vegas has done a stellar job of keeping him in check. Dallas was doing something similar with Makar but it appears they both had breakout games yesterday both in losing efforts. Makar with the unlucky bounce off his stick for the Dallas goal that was eventually the winner? Tough break. But it was good to see Hughes finally playing with a bit of confidence back last night. Vegas was in his head big time for the first three games you could see a nervous struggle out there with his body language. Hughes and Makar are tied at PO scoring with 13 points. Still pretty great for rookies.

Miller is for sure playing hurt but he put up good points.

Would be great to see them battle hard next game as I'm sure they will.

Proud of these boys no matter what.

We are witnessing something pretty special with this club transforming right now.

Thanks Carol any chance you can get back to the bubble and bring a can of Canuck mojo to help turn the tide for Game 5?

The aerial was the Lumme special. Though they got OJ who's a stretch pass specialist if they want to give Fatty a night off.

TG coming with some fire

"Last series we lost two against St. Louis, everyone thought we were down and out and done. I guarantee we’ll be ready to go tomorrow. We need to win one game, then we’ll focus on the next one."

So we have an angry poster we wont mention names (Marwood) who came down on Neem a few days ago about derogatory names like Broads but two days in a row weaponizes the term old people. I guess hate is ok if it is his hate but no one elses.

I think the walking cue ball head smoked his final two brain cells that he had remaining

A player that I like is Jordan Greenway. He is a RFA and I think Jake would like living close to Fargo.
