Nothing against Kreider, but I would prefer it was Zib. He is the one player who has changed his whole work ethic and mentoring the kids under Quinn. Quinn challenged him and he as answered incredibly. I wasn't convinced, but Zib made me a believer |

Exactly.
Give the old warrior the C for his last season. He’s earned the honour. Then give it to the “long term” option the year after. |

It will be tough to give someone the C who will be sitting in the press box all next season |

He can waive at Chara when you guys play the Bruins. He’ll probably be doing the same. |

I hope Chara plays till he’s 50...he won’t move but he can just stand in the crease and be a second goalie |

I can see him doing just that if he’ll agree to 1 year @ 1 mill. |

So to me, the reason there hasn't been a captain is because it's been Hank since McD left. He has led the room and unfortunately we won't name one until he's gone.
As per who should be captain, I lean on the side of Kreider. I hate the give the kid a C thing with Laf and I don't think zib or bread man are captains. Those two are paid to out up points and that should be their only concern. Out of everyone else on the roster, CK 20 is the only one to me that fits the bill of leader and who I don't think would have issues with the captaincy burden. You hear stories of Leetchie being the the reluctant captain and it hurt his play. I see that happening with Zib as well. Keep Zib in kth an A, Krieds the C and breed man the other A. If you want to run four As, you could do Zib/bread/fox/ staal alternating home and away. |

Why would Fox get an A? Trouba has that pretty locked up. |

I think fox has a better chance of sticking around. Have a feeling Trouba doesn't last his contract for some reason but I wouldn't be upset with him having an A |

The problem I have with Kreider is he is also supposed to lead by example on the ice. There are way too many games a year where you don't even know he is playing. Thats why he should be disqualified. imo |

I would give it too Zib over Kreider. And I don’t think any others should be considered. Maybe Trouba |

Just doing a little draft prep, since we’ve lost Tom🤷🏻♂️, I really like Mavrik Bourque. He’s kinda like Barzal from reading, and very good on faceoffs
I hope they go heavy at center with picks, there are a few in that 21-24 range |

Zib is clearly the better player at this point (although I still think Kreider can be a force when he's at the top of his game), but seems a bit too quiet/understated to me. I think that Kreider's persona and enthusiasm makes him great captain material. So, yes, he would be my choice. |
