LOL Rutherford. What an offseason...

He was signed to be on their top pair a couple years ago, Florida really hyped him up and he was still in the top 4, not sure why people hate it, 30 points a year, only 26, in comparison Schultz only had 12 in about the same amount of games this season 4 years younger, And regardless, a top 4 dman 7 years younger than Horny without a NM clause is a much more tradeable contract going forward. Doesn't really bother me all that much, hell, trade Matheson with Murray maybe 🤷‍♂️ nobody wanted the Hornqvist contract in the bottom 6 anyway. Not complaining till its done.

Really hope Matheson gets back in his game because he been scratched or played on the 4th line at some point with Florida this season.

They already have Jack johnson on the left side that hurt the team.

I totally believe in JR. The Pens defense needs change and Hornquivst has become slow and old. I think JR knows a hell of a lot more than me.

He signed that clause fourteen years ago; it was laughed at behind his back for a decade, but appears to have been a shrewd move. The clause does not, however, protect him from a sign and trade offer sheet, as was previously assumed.

Hornqvist is anything but durable. He is declining, incapable of a zone entry, slow and his only use is on the PP as a net front. He's not in the top 6 anymore and his teammates on the 3rd line are not good enough to make up for his deficiencies
