I doubt it as well, but I did see some rankings with him later than 13th, so I included him.

Carolina is set up to pick Askarov. Most of the other teams likely won't risk a high pick on a goalie since they have other holes to fill. Carolina has good young forwards and defensemen so they can take that risk.

Why make an article called Carolina's draft options and then list two guys and say they are likely to be already gone.

that's what I'm thinking too, wouldn't be suprised to see him go 4th or 5th.

Each team have multiple scouts who frequently disagree on the skills and POTENTIAL...of the "prospects"! If you read analysis of Fisher, Bell, Kournious, etc. ...you can see amazing disparity in their rankings! AND EACH TEAM HAS "DIFFERENT NEEDS"!
