I agree of course. He could say the same thing about Nielsen. I still think it has more to do with Abdelkader being a lazy slug who's only motivation is to collect a paycheck. Yzerman didn't want his bad habits affecting the younger players. He won't say that publicly. Who knows? I'm just happy he's no longer a Red Wing.

Yep! I totally agree, I’ve just not heard Detroit make that bold a statement. Yzerman isn’t cushioning reality, and it is impressive to see. Agreed on Nielsen

So, I keep seeing DET tied to Krug.....I just can't see that happening. But, he does fit the cultural change The Captain's trying to bring about in the locker room....Is there a chance Krug signs to come to MoTown??

I can't see it. It's the wrong time for Stevie to be signing UFA's to big long term contracts. Krug will sign with the Panthers in my opinion.
