Eriksson have a cap hit of 6 million for two more years?

Hmmm that is a steep price, but, watching LE for 4 years and knowing there is 2 more is also a steep price |

how about ottawa take ericson contract with Virtanen - bosman
Would do that IMO as a Canucks fan, I do think JV still has more to give!

Eriksson and an unprotected 1st? On behalf of the NHL....
Try Eriksson, unprotected 1st AND Podkolzin....eh maybe a bite. Too much? Keep Loui!
Wait how many top 6 forwards does Vegas need? UFA? Only top 6 that would upgrade would be Hoffman, everyone else meh or a project.
Package Fleury and Glass and I bet Detroit would take it. |

Or pick and prospect. Ottawa and Detroit should be top of the interested list |

Canucks cant afford to trade Loui - Who would score the empty net goals? Who would be able to inspire the top tier memes? Until we can get a replacement for both of those things, we need to keep him on the roster. |

IMO, Virtanen is not incentive enough to take on LE's contract. He got a bit better last year, but he's still heavily trending towards bust status. I would hope Ottawa would ask for a better asset to take on 2 years of LE at 6 mil.....like a 1st rd pick next year.
LE and a 2021 1st
for
2021 5th
or something like that. |

Assuming that he's already been paid his signing bonus for the year, I'd be all over that deal if I was in charge of a bad team. Very good chance the Vancouver pick is a top ten pick next year. |

But salary is only $5M in total for both years. For a team needing to reach the floor, I would take on Louie, plus the 1st rounder. He can help you achieve the floor, get you another top pick and play a bottom 6 role for 2 seasons until the youngsters are ready.
Are you paying attention Fitzie? Do it! |

Wasn't that supposed to happen last year? Oh wait they only dismantled the defending champs and took Vegas to 7. And we didn't regress that much this off-season. And our young studs are only getting better each year and now have some valuable playoff experience to build off of. |

I think all teams are already at the cap floor, so it is going to cost a lot more than a 1st to dump Loui.
As a Canuck fan I was opposed to signing him in the 1st place, we are stuck with him or we lose some valuable assets to get rid of him. |

If I were AZ I'd take that deal to get a 1st rounder back. 2021 is looking to be a poop draft though. |

How do you think the season would've gone without Markstrom last year? Sure, everything can go well and they make a playoff run again, but it's more likely they miss the playoffs.
What have they done to address the fact that they were one of the worst defensive teams last year? |
