This looks like a draft lottery team but I think giving your kids a look is the best play for this team.

Like the patience on Tippet the team choose. Real chance of success with him as he has shown success at all levels he has played.

Lot of players are playing overseas right now. Panthers qualified him, but haven’t signed him as of yet. If the nhl season wasn’t up in the air, I doubt he’s playing in Liiga right now. I imagine he wouldn’t sign a contract there without an out for when nhl season starts.

Just found this article. According to it, his Liiga deal has no set length and will terminate when he signs a deal with FL.

I agree. I used to get kind of frustrated with all the hype around him and never seeing him up. Looking back, I think that was certainly the right play. Hopefully he’s marinated well in the OHL and AHL and is now ready for the next step

Like a lot of guys, I think he signed there to continue playing and stay conditioned with the uncertainty of the NHL season - similar to when teams loan guys overseas.

But Rats has provided some really nice insight into it with his comment.

If that lineup suggestion is accurate, I really like the idea of promoting a few guys from within. Those young guns combined with a few of these new “prove it” contracts Zito signed this free agency and the regular guys who need to bounce back, I think this could be a hungry team.

People expected him to be Jeff Skinner and that hasn't happened yet which is probably the cause of any discontent.

Probably number seven, unless he beats out Nutivaara. Maybe he’ll be playing big minutes down in AHL until injury call up.
unless Q rolls with seven D, using Yandle only on PP. or Q makes a winger out of Yands after all, Pysyk was struggling as a defenseman, but he was pretty damn good as a “defensive” forward.
Stillman is going to be good, imo

Who knows? Old Ulffie might actually inspire Yandle, he may even hit someone this year
