I agree with Carol, waiting as long as you can to sign Pettersson is probably the best course of action. When things normalize I could see him coming in around 9.5 million per.

Matthews is one of the best goal scorers in the league, along with Draisaitl, Stamkos, Pastrnak and Ovechin, but he’s not one of the top ten players in the league.

I'd say Matthews is at best a top 20 player, at worst a top 30. Same with EP.

For a supposed #1 center he had 33 assists last year, career high is 36, obviously distributing the puck isn’t a huge asset of his. Great goal scorer, not a great center, very good, but not great.

Baertschi and Sutter will be done and Edler's $6MM per deal will be finished. Spooner's buyout will finally be off the books as well.

They'll probably just MTA Ericksson, Beagle, Roussel, Myers and Luongo's recapture penalty.

Utica has been great for the organization but just think of all the money Aquilini could save if they didn't have an AHL team.
