Not sure why they would not just leave the Metro Division alone and put Boston and Buffalo in the other Division. There can't be that much extra travel.
I do not think it hurts the Islanders chances at all. In fact the realignment is like the old Patrick Division if you minus Buffalo and Boston. In fact I think it will legitimize the team even more.
The bottom line is if you are a good team you will find a way to win and be successful no matter what. Looking forward to the challenge.

Because they are land locked around the Metro opponents. When you keep 1/3 of the previous division in Canada and the other half is below the Metro. I believe it is more of trying to keep tight clusters of teams.
well Boston lost Krug to STL. I think that has to hurt them on the back end. Both Pasta and Marchant might not be ready for the opener. I like are chances....

I don't understand this blog. Yeah the division is tough for the Isles, Devils, Rangers, Caps, Pens, Sabres, Flyers & Bruins. It's a tough division for everybody
