VGK already gave away Schmidt for a 3rd.

TB will have to bite the bullet also. They used their tax advantage with too many NTC/NMC’s & now it’s caught up to them.

Inequities is a double edged sword. Too bad.

I believe that Tampa and Nashville have talked about some of Tampa's players. It only makes sense both have no state income tax, both places are desirable places to live and play so getting a Tampa guy to move will be easier. Nashville needs top 6 players, Tampa has too many. It will be interesting if they can make a deal.

This article could fuel at least a week of additional rumours.

Also, when Vegas makes a minor move to be cap compliant - Nick Holden? Lehner on LTIR? - then we should have a follow up article that asks what happened to the apparent trading of MAF, Max, now Marchessault.

Rumour is two fold Nashville or Red wings. Zetterberg contract, Johnson, Killorn 1st pick...

I could see Killorn being traded to the Preds if they don't sign power forward Mike Hoffman.

Would Palat be the GUY on the Preds or is he too intimidated by Josi, Forsberg, Arvidsson, etc...?

Palat would be The Guy. Josi is still The Man. Forsberg is the Ace and Arvidsson is King Arvi. A young David Poile running around the Spectrum in 1966 approves.

Considering they haven't started a season yet do they still have the no-trade from December 20th through the 27th? If so I suppose you expect to see the majority of Trades and signings in the next 7 days or in the few days after the 27th. This is assuming that the season starts on January 13th. For any trade between American and a Canadian team the player has to quarantine for 14 days to change countries. So I'd expect to see a flurry of Trades 28th and 29th so they r able to play on January 13th.

So what you are saying is that trades like Marchessault to Montreal is a bit complicated. So is JVR + Ghost going to Calgary for Gaudrea or to Toronto for Nylander. It's almost like most of these moves won't be happening...

Kooleos it would be difficult if you want new player available for opening day roster. Same for free agents and even current roster players in some ways. As sabre fan seeing skinner and hall practicing in Toronto area they need to get out of Canada in next few days to participate in training camp. I think Canada has 14 day quarantine, not sure America rule. Or its vice versa. So 14 days minus Jan 13 is dec 31. All moves need to happen now through 30th. And with holiday no trade 20th thru 27th things need to start happening now. Perhaps 1st domino with timyshov was today.

LOL worst yet I just had a second thought so I'm posting another one. If these quarantines don't change over the next five months trade deadline day will be a mess. Same for the regular-season I suppose for under current rules Canadian team should only trade with other Canadian teams for Trading a guy to America he can't join the roster for 2 weeks while he sits in quarantine for going to a new country. Hence my point that I think a lot of what we're about to see will be everyone getting signed and or traded by December 29th. But I base all these dates on them starting the season January 13th. And in the next 5 days a lot of this will have to happen if you expect them to be able to participate in Training Camps if changing countries

You don't think that the NYI or CBJ will have to battle to make the postseason? That they are just going to cruise in? Maybe you are just new to hockey.

.

You guys continue to amuse. After much study on this topic, I am convinced that you and many of the others that live here seem to be under the mistaken belief that rumors of trade or free agent possibilities are predictions.

3. Canadian Division players need to head north ASAP: Those players need to quarantine 14 days

No they don't.... pretty sure they can use the 48 hour quarantine after getting tested for COVID, available only in Calgary.. unless there's a condition I'm forgetting, odds are you'll have all the canadian NHL team players coming through Calgary.. it's only 6 hours from Calgary to Toronto which is much better than spending 12 more days in quarantine.... the testing program in Calgary requires a second covid test 7 days later, but that's still a huge advantage. It really comes down to how much time they have vs. wanting to quarantine at home in their nhl city vs. getting back in the gym
Unless I'm wrong, I'm shocked tsn and everyone acts like they have no idea this program exists. annoying..

Not anymore then any other team which makes it a stupid point. He of course is insinuating the Islanders will struggle more so then other teams in our division which I think is a fairly ridiculous comment to make. Maybe you’re just new to this thing called deductive reasoning or understanding. Certainly seems that way.

Will have to disagree again. Any insinuation was conjured up in your brain. Seems like a case of homegrown paranoia.
