Coleman is a great player who is going to get his pay day after this year but unfortunately I don't think that will be in Tampa due to the cap issues. I will enjoy watching him play again this year for the Bolts.

Going to be interesting to see how Tampa gets cap compliant. So far Julien BriseBois has said he feels he can re-sign all his RFAs and feels he can move the players he needs to move so lets see how he does it.

Resigning should be easy. Moving some contracts out much more difficult, well if you hope not to lose much. Tyler Johnson obviously no one wants, including the bolts, his line in playoffs floated. Teams are going to get a huge sweetener. He’s lost a couple of steps, 4 years left on a high cap hit on a 30 yo player(he ain’t getting better). Should be some trades, pto signings now that a date and deal is announced.

Agreed. The suspense will be over soon. It's going to cost and it's going to cost big. I'd bet that a deal is done with Detroit. Yzerman will take JBB to the cleaners.

Coleman gets an A from me. He did everything he was asked to do and brought home a Cup.

Very convenient.

Blake Coleman was a great teammate in NJ and a huge fan favorite. Almost every Devils fans was thrilled to see him win the cup in Tampa. Yes, you guys paid a lot for him but he delivered; so pretty much a win win.

If you need to clear cap space we'll take him back as a part of the deal in a heartbeat. Not gonna happen but I can hope.

I don’t blame them if not true, but when Stammer and Kuch come back ya still need to be cap compliant. So let it roll I guess!

Kuch just bought a house on Robidas Island.

This is a convenient silver lining to an injury, but I seriously doubt it was cap circumvention. The benefits of having Kucherov on the ice far outweigh his LTIR cap benefits. If this was intentional, it would be better to put Stamkos on LTIR instead of Kuch.

Don't worry. I'm sure Kuch will be "healthy" enough to return for game 1 of the playoffs. Patty Kane says hi. You're playing Detroit 8 times. There's no worry about Tampa missing the playoffs without Kucherov.

Yzerman will own half the Tampa roster for peanuts by the time the playoffs roll around.
