Virtanen is definitely a polarizing player. My greatest memory of him was his last world juniors. One of the best players on the team but kept taking some god awful stupid penalties.

Also considering I’ve seen it in every Canucks off-season article, in Vancouver’s defence I don’t really consider toffoli a loss. Sure he helped their team in their playoff run but considering he didn’t show up until the trade deadline the Canucks are pretty well returning with the same forward group they played over half of last year with. Not saying the other losses they suffered may not be detrimental but I would be hesitant to write them as a non-playoff team like many are doing
