Let’s start the new year with a list of 21 questions that are likely storylines for the Blackhawks for the long-awaited 2021 season.

Also, a quick peek at a projected training camp roster.

Great 21 questions but no idea how they eventually get answered.

If Andrei Altybarmakyan IS in camp I suspect his ability to play on the PK/PP/ and generate offense to see him stick in some capacity...

Stan needs to take a shot at Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Centers when Dach comes back = Dach, Dubois , Strome

Towes will be out the entire 56 game season.

Dach will be out all season too, at least that is what I think. No reason to risk more injury to the wrist.

Dubois signed yesterday - $5M AAV for 2 years. He's off the market.

Do you have some inside info on Toews being out all season or is it speculation?

No inside info, we all hope the best for Toews, but he may be done. Dubois wants out of Columbus, maybe he is a puzzle piece needed for the future. Would you hold DeBrincat or have Dubois? Dubois is at the right price.

Those centers didn’t look too bad about three weeks ago. I believe that our defense, if healthy, will be better than many here think, but our current forward group may be the worst in the league, and who knows what kind of goaltending we’ll get.

We have many doctors here on HB, next time I get sick I’ll save my copay and consult all the experts here.

Taking away huge amounts of revenue from a business has pretty negative consequences. I'm sure the small market teams will have no problem with another season of very low revenue.

I love the Cat but I'd easily take Dubois over Cat - not even close.

Agreed, if healthy the defense is actually pretty good. Not great, but good. De Haan and Murphy could be a solid 2nd pairing and Zadorov and Boqvist could play decent minutes on the 3rd pair. Keith is obviously still the #1, he could play with Mitchell or Kalynuk. Maybe Beaudin or Regula step up and claim a spot. Seabrook, if healthy, would be a good #7, relieving the youngsters a night off.

Stan’s done a good job making the forwards more defensive, but there’s a serious lack of offense. If DeBrincat doesn’t bounce back, Strome doesn’t improve and Suter isn’t NHL material it could be a serious disaster.

The goaltending scares me. Maybe 1 of the three steps up, but that’s still a long shot. I still think Stan makes a deal for a veteran goalie.

Seabs is the key. If he's the "old" Seabrook right now they would be rolling out Keith, deHaan, Murphy, Zadarov, Seabrook, throw in Elmer Fudd and that's still a group opposing Forwards will be leary of. First time we can say that in a while.
