USA got lucky in the one game of the tournament that actually mattered.
Ah well, Canada still the superior (hockey) country. |

Pretty sure the two games prior to this one mattered considering had they not won those they wouldn’t have been able to be “lucky” in this one. Pretty cool to be “lucky” 3 times in a row. |

Game was probably rigged by the Democrats. |

Don't forget the after midnight steal policy... I'm sure they can't finish counting cuz they're just too tired... Or something |

Cozens definitely didn't do what he needed for his teammates, especially after he took the hit from Sanderson that lead to the turnover for Team USA's second goal. That being said, he sent in Byram alone on goal and the kid just didn't finish it... beating Knight, but flipping it off the far post. That missed opportunity was big... can't pin it on Cozens, Byram just didn't close the deal there. |

Wasn’t a fluke game. 1st half of the game it looked like Canada thought they could just show up.
When Canada started playing with more energy USA kept playing solid team D.
They kept the puck to the perimeter and boxed out well in the slot area.
Their board work and puck support in the D zone was very good.
When Canada did have good chances Knight made the saves. |

USA won a well deserved victory. They won by playing the kind of game that Canada usually follows for their wins. USA played great team defense and shut Canada down. They held Canada to the perimeter all night.
I thought US defenders were totally in control and so very, very cool all night. Sanderson was one of the youngest players on either team and through two periods he led in ice time. I have not yet seen the numbers for third period ice time.
USA beat Canada because they played old time hockey better than the Canadians. It is simple as that. |

Yep, well put. The US played a tight game except for maybe the first 5 or 10 mins where Canada has some decent zone time. When the US got comfortable and got their game going, that first goal seemed inevitable. After that, Canada didn’t have much of a response other than one and done perimeter chances. Congrats to the US team, tough fought tourney. |

I know. Totally crazy that it would take more time to count millions of votes in cities compared to thousands of votes in the countryside.
(frank)ing math is complete bullpoop.
Why count at all when we can just ask the president who won?
I mean if we are going to let women and minorities vote is it really a representative democracy anyway?
I mean if the war of succession was wrong in 1861 maybe shouldn’t have done that same crap in 1776! We should rejoin England and become part of the commonwealth.... perhaps as an expansion of Canada.
Then we could finally learn to play hockey as good as our northern neighbors!

Did Lafreniere play well in this super meaningful contest? |

Congrats USA. They played a hell of a game and definitely deserved the win. They took Canada’s own game and threw it back in their face.
Never like to see the Canadian boys lose, but when it’s a great game and a loss to a great team, it’s easier to stomach. |
