Wow the Pens need to tighten it up defensively. They were pretty bad in their own zone. |

Were equally matched to them. In fact every team in this division is equally matched according to hockeybuzz. |

There will be separation in a month with this schedule. Devils, Pens, and Sabres will be left in the dust imo. |

I’ll agree with you on the Devils.
Other than that, I think it’ll be a dogfight with maybe two teams separating themselves. |

Pens defense is questionable and their goaltending is suspect. The Sabres defense is trash and their goaltending is garbage. Adding Hall doesn’t move the needle enough for them or compensate for that imo. Every year is the season the Sabres make the playoffs and they don’t. They haven’t addressed their needs. Another season under Dahlin’s belt doesn’t do it for them. I say this knowing that it’s hockey and anything can happen. As we all know multiple teams surprise every season but these teams aren’t going to be in a dogfight with anyone imo.
The rest of the division is evenly matched and will battle it out but we’ll know quicker where teams sit then everyone is thinking right now. This schedule will facilitate that. |

I agree on Pens.. they will regret allowing Murray to leave too.
I get a kick out of all the "expert analysts" who have the pens every year in top 5. they even post the odds from Vegas and it has Pens, Habs, Leafs, and bruins in top 10 as far as odds to win cup.
Pens are 4th.. so the team that lost to the Canadiens the year after they got swept by the Islanders are 4th most likely to win the cup?
Bruins who lost 2 of their top 4 D-men and Pasta is out until late Feb at best is top 5 team in league?
Not in anyone's top 10.. Isles, Stars, and Vancouver. |

I see Pittsburgh challenging Chicago for the worst record in the league. |

Torts does tend to wear thin on his players. He's had his share of success, but for some reason, a lot of players don't seem to like playing for him.
Of course, the Isles' biggest need is a scoring winger, not a center, but yeah, it'll be interesting to see how this drama unfolds. |

He can take Casey’s place on the 4th line. |

It's going to play out with him ending up being the Rangers 2nd line center when they trade for him |

With Ladd going on the LTIR the Isles have the cap room NOW to trade for Dubois. If for no other reason then to keep him off the NYR. It would probably take a few prospects, picks and at least 1 player going back to CBJ (probably one of our Centers).

It's over for the Pens. They will not make the playoffs. That's a bad roster. |

Our middle six centers both have full-NTC's. You're not trading Barzal and they don't want Cizikas. Dubois won't come within a mile of the Islanders radar.
Just accept now that he's going to be a Ranger. They have the young players/prospects and the draft capital to make it happen and they desperately need centers. They have an abundance of talent on the wing and can probably afford to lose one of their better young wingers/prospects. |
