Jeremy Laura: Wings vs Panthers 3 - straight to DVD?

I'm optimistic about these next 2 games. Detroit is due for a couple of wins. Panthers are due for a couple of losses. Call it the law of averages effect. I liked our compete in our second game vs Tampa. Lightning got the lucky bounces in that one.

I just hope the players aren't guilty of celebrating moral victories like they've done so many times in the Jeff Blashill era. I'll say Wings win both games vs Florida. Fabbri and Zadina gives us a legitimate second line. It's time to remove the horse shoes up Florida's ass. 👍

ADA can be a Wing still. NYR needs a center. I hate to lose Raz, but send him for ADA (retain $1M) and a 3rd. Flip ADA at TDL for another pick, hopefully he can behave himself for a couple months. Wings will have plenty of RD help next season.

Selective blindness

Ok....somebody wanna enlighten me on who pissed on the Wing’s Corn Flakes?? I’m REALLY diggin’ what I’m seeing overall. Namestnikov layin’ the wood all ove the place in the O zone, taking away the passing lanes.....Spending too much time in the D zone, but I’m seeing passing lanes close quickly.

Blind is more like it. Gudas took Homer down as well. This guys skates on the very edge. That was seriously a shirty call, regardless of the recipient. The league needs to make a call on this guy, there’s a difference between hitting and head-hunting. His damn shoulder hit Glennie in the head/neck area. There has GOT to be a call on this stuff.

First period thoughts are up on the blog. Good physical play from Detroit, Gudas is the John Wayne Gacey of the NHL. He’s a clown suit away from life in prison. Well, maybe not. Still a nasty hit and should have been a penalty.

Namestnikov is all over the ice, and stirring things up. I’m really, really happy with the effort. The missed call on Gudas’ on Glendening is farcical. This is a player that should probably be wearing a strobe like indicator so that the refs never stop watching him. What looks to be a suspendalble play didn’t even warrant a 2 minute minor? The current rule allowing major penalties to be reviewed needs to be adapted to allow review on a missed call. In my mind, that was a 5 minute major and an ejection. I’m sure some will disagree, but it had all the makings of a nasty shot. Led with the shoulder at chin height, Glendening didn’t change position. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow but there isn’t much continuity here. It could end up as a fine or be ignored. At this point, just praying LG is ok. That’s a tough man, and for him to go down it takes a lot.

I have PTSD from Howie....we’d be 20-0 right now if he was still in net. Greiss is freakin’ amazing, regardless of the numbers. 2 games that he was really blown out, the rest have been nail-biters. This guy’s good.....
