Nice blog Karine. I think Petry doing well at 6.25 vs 11 million on Doughty and Karlsson highlights why it's bad to pay players that much. They were definitely both better than Petry in their primes, but the salary would imply by almost twice as much, maybe prime Karlsson, maybe. I think even paying McDavid 12.5 million is too much. Is McDavid worth 3 Tyler Toffolis? The point I'm making is you don't see many teams winning cups with Albatross contracts.
