Was saying in the last thread that we cannot take them lightly.
Hoping Markstrom, Tanev, and Leivo can take over from Toffoli. Not saying at all that the aforementioned players would make Van a better team.
According to the Left Coasters they are not missed at all. |

Thanks Todd, should be interesting to see which Canucks team shows up. The one that gives up 7 goals or the one that gives up 5 goals.
Good luck tonight.

Was reading that... in fact there's a few that are saying it was good cap management on Benning's part.
I think those two (Tanev and Markstrom) were a much bigger part of the chemistry in that room. Demko has a tonne of upside but he's not Markstrom and thats the challenge. Could they have kept both? Likely not but I think they'd be in a better spot had they not signed here. Mind you with the Flames inconsistent play, we'd have been screwed without Markstrom and Tanev has been great and made Hanifin a much better player.
They play like they did last game, they shouldn't have any issues, if the schizophrenia returns, all bets are off. |

This team needs to show they can play consistent hockey. Not a huge fan of Ward but this issue has been around a lot longer than he has.

Being -13 in on only 16 games even though he has 17 points is extremely impressive. |

Was beautiful for the last 3 weeks but looks like we are back in the rainy season.
We are in the middle of an election here. If the leftist's get in its time to leave. Not willing to go down with the ship if we turn into the next Venezuela.

Sorry I think I flagged this on accident.
I was wanting to ask where you are going to go?The U.S. is putrid right now with Biden welcoming communism with open arms. Seems like this is becoming a world wide problem fast with the Elite leading the charge for a communist world... |

Painting us all with the same brush?
Of course those guys are missed. The contract length for Tanev and Marky could be an issue in the later years, maybe not. But, certainly those players have left a huge hole. Both on and off the ice. Its affected the team in a bad way. They were and are still well liked by Canuck fans. Speaking for myself, I wish them the best. Even if in Calgary.
Good cap management tho Its the perfect example of horrible cap management not being able to pay your important players. Instead, all the money was given to the "role players" bottom half of the roster.
The constant trading of draft picks early on for Jim, when he should have been stockpiling. No prospect D being drafted and developed is the reason he went out and overpaid for Myers.
I need to stop. So frustrating.
Good luck tonight guys. |

Yeah those contracts might not age well but they have been great so far.
What happens in Canuckland if things don't turn around? Fire the coach? Fire the GM?

I’m fully expecting an on-ice tantrum from one of the Canucks players and/or Holtby before this 3 game series is over. |

The fact Green hasn't being renewed, it seems they are leaving door open for new GM to hire his own coach. What a joke. Green just doesn't have the right players. Not his fault. All we can do is stare at capfriendly and wait for the bad contracts to come off the books. 1 year at a time.
I think if you polled Canuck fans at start of year, they expected and were ok with a bit of a step back this year. But the way they have been losing games is the problem. |

Thats tough, but still the Nucks have some great young pieces to build around.
This has got to be JG's last year in Calgary. Kind of the last kick of the can with this group.

The Flames are the perfect remedy for struggling teams. Lol!
If Green is let go I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t end up in Seattle. |

I have a couple friends that talk about communism the same way and I always wonder what backwater right wing publication is misinforming their following so heavily about what communism is and isn’t.
You need to be able to identify the difference between a progressive increase in social program spending and actually seizing the means of production and re-modelling a global economy that is already structured around the exchange of currency. Well you don’t need to, but you sound stupid flaunting that word around improperly. |
