No, I know. I had thought about adding “(to a lesser degree)” after Nylander, but didn’t. Haha.

He was forward depth though for the Hawks.

The powerplay was horrendous. I just cant stand getting shutout at the best of times but against a rookie goalie and given 5 or 6 powerplays is ridiculous. For several million dollars you should have better shot ability than the beer leagues. The shots going directly into the guy in front of them was terrible. Get something through

This is where leadership and commitment needs to assert itself.

Aim for the twine, not the guy in front of the twine.

Move Yandle to 2nd PP and Forsling up to 1st PP until Yandle realizes that a power play is only 2 minutes long and time is valuable.

Big win for FL tonight. Verhaeghe had himself a night. Lol, the OT was chaotic. It really looked like they were gonna let the game slip away from them in the third.

The ending to OT was wild. What a sweet move by Ekblad to bury the winner. And Bob saving the game just before Ek ended it (for the second time).

This was all right after Ekblad’s snipe was disallowed because he was offside.
It’s cool you can hear the players celebrating the gwg, lol, and understand why the mic’ed up segments aired during game intermissions always omit the goal celebrations.

I like where Q said after the game that he'd never seen the same player score twice in OT, until Ekblad did it. Definitely having fun yesterday. Good sign going forward.

Super hat trick by Verhaeghe - even strength, power play, and shorty. Wow! He stepped up for sure. Q's other great line - he could have done a 4-on-4 or empty net goal if he really wanted to impress.

Safe too say he is done for the year. His face said it all, and he knew that his season was done. Between quarantine procedures and Dr visits, he doesn't have a chance to come back and play any meaningful hockey this season. What a terrible player to lose. Hope he comes back next season and picks up where he left off.
