I don't know who could possibly expect much for him. He has less goals than Kieffer Bellows and Bellows has played exactly 3 games

I think there will be just enough competition that Buffalo will do OK for him. I still don't think Lou goes after him. Even if he lands him, that leaves them zero extra space to add elsewhere and I think I'd rather shoot for Palmieri and a LW3 for Pageau/Wahlstrom line. Unless, of course, Lou pays a premium for Buffalo to retain half.

Sabres will almost certainly have to retain salary regardless of where Hall goes. Very little financial freedom on any contender just now.

I'd give them a '21 1st I'd give them two seconds and nothing else if they retained 50% of that Hall deal. Then they could go get Palmieri and we'd have one hell of a 1st line-thru-4th line, even without your boy

Interesting you think Holmstrom is a terrible pick. He was drafted what less then two years ago? I can't pass judgement that quick especially since he is a rookie on the worst team in the AHL
