Is it me or does Hayes look slower and slower every game? Holy shyte that dude is slooooooooooooooow. Didn't see all of the game, but it seems like they actually played a full 60 minutes for the most part. Too little too late. Are there any shoot first guys coming up from the Phantoms any time soon? This team has no scorers now that Farabee and JVR have gone cold. Maybe that newly signed Laughts guy can save the day? Oh right, he hasn't scored in 23 straight games. Next! |

Hayes got juked by a 36 y/o Brayden Coburn, let that sink in. 5 more years -- yay us! |

I haven't watched the past 3 games, this team is not fun to watch at all. I'd rather watch the phillies or go bird watching! Sh$t needs to change this off season in a major way |

Would not be shocked at all if Hayes has been playing injured and we won’t hear about it until the offseason |

What a game by Sanheim, he was all over the Ice on both ends. Nice to see him playing well. That was probably one of the better games of his career. |

At this point I hope so because the disappearing act has been par for the course his entire career |

And it was a microcosm of the season that the winning goal deflected off his stick. Worst kind of luck after a good play on his part.

Yea tough bounce there, idk if I’d consider it a microcosm of the season though. It’s not like we played good and deserved a better fate most nights, I’d argue in the beginning of the year it was the exact opposite. |

If I had a quarter for every time AV states "we had a lot of good looks and quality chances and couldn't bury them" in his post game presser ... also AV pointed to Hayes' bad pass in OT that lead to that goal, since he gave up possession, and praised Sanheim's overall game. Said the team is running on fumes right now, and I believe that especially when you play the games they are playing and not winning them, it takes a toll mentally. Overall, a season I am sure everyone wants to forget. |

He is as slow of an NHL forward that you will see. So much in fact I really wonder if he has been nursing an injury. He has really looked bad for over a month now.

That is true, I meant it more in the light that even when they did play well, something would happen to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I'll tell you what, Sanheim plays much better when Myers in not in the lineup.

I personally believe all the things that made this team once great, the organization decided to throw to the waste side.
John LeClair, Simon Gagne, Jeff Carter. What happened to the snipers? Eric Lindros, Chris Pronger. What happened to the size?
What was once working for us, we just dismissed and threw away. Maybe it wasn’t working but whatever this is, is working even less. |

Ahh yes, agreed. When they do things right they still can’t do things right lol. I honestly can’t wait for this season to be over. |

I would argue the Flyers have some size, but other than Morin, they just don't use it. The name of game now is speed and tenacity, and I think the Flyers lack these qualities also. However you do need finishers and the Flyers don't have them right now either. Lots of holes for Fletcher to fill in the off-season, this team really needs to look and be different next year or its going to be more of the same. The Flyers may have to take a big step back in order to take two steps forward in years to come. |

That was his best game this year, I wonder what kind of contract he gets next year. I don't think his overall game this year progressed as much as everyone hoped. Though, that can be said for most on this team

Bill had mentioned this going right up to arbitration, is there a comparable out there? |

I feel your pain when it comes to Hayes. From my seats I would call him a “slug”, which was picked up by friends in my section. He is very talented, but always appears slow and indifferent. Unless he is playing his old team. I don’t miss him, or your coach either. Hang in there, I know how it feels to watch bad hockey—-I got my seats in 1997—-7 straight years of no playoffs |
