Ben Shelley: Islanders' goaltending remains solid despite team's recent struggles

Defense and Goaltending have been consistent for most of the season. The inconsistency is the PP and forward production. How come year after year there is an issue with PP and scoring???

This is the $99,000.00 question. My conclusion is that their are too of the same inconsistent forwards. You need to give JGP consistent linemates. You need to give Barzal a consistent finisher...You need to Barzal to play within himself and stop trying to do everything.

You need Bailey, Eberle, AB, Nelson, Uncle Lou to be consistent.

You need to insert youth and allow them to play and make mistakes and develop.

That as Blogger you should be investigating and researching. What has worked this year why and repeat.

I think this is the last go with this core. If they get bounced in round one or two, they have to move some guys in a attempt to get younger and faster. Every team has a streaky player or two, we have two lines worth. I still wish we would have landed Hall, although a bit of a mental case he has the skillset we need to take the next step.

Is Buffalo playing ? They are on MSG as well and with the Devils Rags and if the Sabres are playing up there the Isles are probs the odd man out.

I'm starting to.believe Komarov is the best fit on this line they do well with him. Now clearly he's not the best player but his style seems to mesh the best
