The more healthy bodies available, the better.
It will be tough for Kase to get a feel with whoever he plays with...but that’s what practices are there for. Go B’s. |

Kase Is a top Bruins player when healthy and I would slot him In as the number two RW. |

In what world is Kase better than Smith? No way does he deserve 2RW over Smith. Why would you mess with a line of Hall, Krec, and Smith that has gelled very nicely?
Sorry, haven't seen anything worthwhile out of Kase in a Bruins sweater. Granted very limited sample thanks to him living up to his fragile reputation. |

Kase Is better than Smith In the real world. Line ONE Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak. Line 2. Hall, Krejci, Kase. WORD. |

Right now it's Smith. Kase has to earn that spot which I have full confidence he'll be injured again before that happens. Kid has been made of balsa wood his entire career.
Notice I didn't say glass. It is more durable than Kase.

In which "real world" are you basing this opinion on?
The two games he played for Bruins this year?
The 24 points he had with Bruins last year?
Are you going back 4 years to 2017-18 when he had his best season with 38 points? |

???? Kase has only played a total of 19 games (including last year's playoffs) in a Bruins sweater and has a whopping 5 points total.

Craig Smith has been super this season no doubt but the reality Is he's a bottom six forward and he Is nearly 34 years old and I'd be willing to bet that Smith won't be on the Bruins opening day roster In October of 2021. |

Who the (frank) cares dude? A lot of guys might be not be on the Bruins roster. Right now they're headed to the post season in this "real world" at this "present time" the "reality" is Smith is on a line with Hall And Krejci. Kase will have to earn his spot along with everyone on the (frank)ing taxi squad. You pigeon. |

You do know Smith signed a three year contract right? The only way he's not on the opening night roster next season (not really sure why we are talking about NEXT season, when the discussion is about the playoffs) is if Seattle steals him.
And you also realize Smith has averaged over 20 goals per season for like the last 5 seasons...Kase has reached that amount once, ONCE! Of course much of his low numbers are because you can't score while rehabbing which is what he is really good at.

Smith is signed for three years and also brings the grit that opens things up for Krejci and Hall. Very very long shot that Kase fills that role.
He is also 31 years old... |

TSN did not split totals between teams last year.
NHL.com actually shows Kase playing only 6 games for Bruins last year and 2 games this year. 8 games total? Is neither site correct? |

Much better chance that Kase is gone come October and Smith is still here. |

Nope, 8 regular season games (last and this season) and 11 playoff games last year...total 19 games wearing the spoked B. |

Kase has plenty of potential but he has proven over and over again that he is not capable of staying healthy for anywhere close to a full season (not even remotely close). He's a waste of cap space. |
