Rasmus sits because he got rattled and lost confidence in himself in a position where doing so led to chances against over and over. Gally made a single mistake, a bad one but there’s no sense that it affects his ability to play. That wasn’t the case with Sandin.

Sandin is a rookie and there is a more experienced player available to tag in. Galy is playing top 6 and has been good, how do you replace him? It would hurt them more to sit Galy just out of emotion. Keefe is coaching, not being a butthurt fan.

same reason that Tiny Tim doesn't get any ice time with the Habs on a regular shift... he's not ready to compete in all situations.

I'm sure this isn't an easy decision for Keefe... he probably has Dubas scowling for not trying to build up what Dubas want's to be the future of his defense - but whose pretty obviously not quite ready yet.... he owns it to the team to give them the best chance to win.

clearly what they should do is move Muzzin up to first line left wing with Matthews because he's scoring more than Marner, sit Marner or demote him to the fourth line and have both Dermott and Sandin in the lineup - or in worst case - insert Martin Marincin. Hows that sound - pretty clear fan-boy thinking?

There is something to be said for that.

I was just looking for some accountability for Gally from the staff.

And people saying he's an important piece... nah.. no guy playing 12 minutes a night is that important.. come on. One thing Leaf's have is Forwards for days that are interchangeable up and down the lineup.

He also has 3 GA's and no TA's for those on the he's a +2 bandwagon, with 4 pts.

Like I said, hope it was a oneoff.

Wouldn’t have went to OT if not for the 1st 2 mistakes, even though the goaler didn’t help him either.

I expect a win tonight and a parade to the penalty box for the Habs.

I’m not the biggest Gally fan but he’s better then Brooks at the moment and I haven’t seen anything from Nash that shows he deserves in yet either.

So in summation ... You're good with that itsy bitsy tiny mistake.... that's what I'm seeing here.

Bad mistakes generally lead to a single breakaway... You have to really try and F/U to have a 2 on none from the redline in.
