Thanks Carol,
Luckily for us, Benning is pretty good at drafting at any spot. Pettersson, Boeser, Hoglander, Demko, Rathbone, Hughes all go higher in redrafts today |

Ran the simulation 3x
1st overall once
11th overall twice
I'm fully expecting moving down 2. |

Hoping Benning does what it takes to move up/down to snag Hughes. It would be more Epic than Burke shuffling to get Both Sedins. Either Hughes or Clarke would be perfect. #InBenningWeTrust - LordHumungous
Benning moving up in the draft is the scariest thing you can say. |

I'm on board with whatever he does at the draft, this is where he usually shines. |

He's good at picking players that fall to him. |

If you can even call it that. Imagine the Vegas trade went through, and we acquired an extra 2nd rounder to go back one spot and grab glass and vegas pulled a fast one and picked pettersson. We were a deal away from losing our number 1 and Calder winning center lol |

Boeser wasn't a consensus pick, Pettersson pick was debated with players like Glass and Vilardi, some people wanted Dobson/Wahlstrom/Bouchard over Hughes. Demko wasn't a consensus pick. Hoglander was considered to be a bit of a faller, but Benning overruled Brackett to pick him. Rathbone wasn't some faller. |

It will be interesting to see how the scouting department holds up this year with nobody in charge. It didn’t really matter much last year with no early selections.
The post Bracket era starts now. |

“I don’t really get into the politics of the nonsense that, ‘That guy drafted that guy, that guy is responsible [for this guy].’ Winning organizations don’t do that. Winning organizations, they pick the players that they think they can win with and they can have success with, and that’s what we’re trying to accomplish here.”
This is what your boy Benning has to say about that... |
