I would encourage you to research how the draft works. Then you will completely understand why only one team dropped. It was actually a good thing (just unfortunate it was the Ducks). Had Dallas won the draft, then everybody ahead of them would have dropped.

You know if this keeps up. Ducks fans are going too start acting like poker players looking for that card on the river or turn. " one time man, ONE TIME!!" And every year we walk away with a busted straight draw. I mean never having a #1 first round pick will do that too you.

There are teams that get multiple #1 picks in a decade and never do anything with it. (Looks at Edmonton and Buffalo) but the Ducks just keep on trucking working with mid round picks. It really goes to show you that it's not completely about the position you pick. As long as you get up there. It's more about how you scout and develop that's more important.

Addendum:
You know thinking about this a little more. Maybe it is a blessing that our team has been well ran to never really having too rely on #1 picks. I mean I'd still rather be a Ducks fan than a sabers fan or Oilers fan. But still. I feel how I feel. Cheated.
So this is my final word on this subject. ( looks at Gary bettman and bill dally holding the ping pong balls) "ONE TIME MAN. ONE TIME!!"
