Do Flames have any extra 40 goal scorers they'd like to trade?

Jets miss Tanev's style so badly in this series. Anyone else think Dubois should be benched? He is a slug on the ice. Hard to imagine Gustafsson or Perfetti not being an upgrade at this point in time.
And Jets are 2-8 with Benn in the lineup. Maybe its time to dust Heinola and take him off of the shelf. Jets need a big shake-up. They aren't generating enough chances, and look lifeless most shifts.
I still hope against the odds that the Jets can come back. |

So people want to attack Dubois?
He needs to hire Connor’s publicist. I like Connor but make no mistake he has evolved into a 1 dimensional player.
He and Wheeler -4 last night. Ehlers still not on top PP
If Connor isn’t scoring he may be the most useless forward on the ice, not too harsh to say that. He doesn’t backcheck, doesn’t hit, is not aggressive in anyway in our zone, doesn’t block shots etc etc....needs to score, period.
Maurice tonight will stick with Connor Wheeler and Forbort
By the way, Stanley +1 in a 5-1 loss and he is top +/- on Jets these playoffs. Please play Forbort less |

Flames have won a game more recently than the Oilers
Jets should be happy...have you guys seen the Vegas/Colorado series? Jets get to go on vacay while the Habs get to be the ones to prove how terrible the north division really is.
Reality check coming up soon for north div teams |

Every player in the Jets locker room needs to hear this speech before the game tonight! This night broke my heart many years ago when Jets 1.0 left town.
Hopefully Uncle Paul has some four leaf clovers, magical Troll dolls, or horseshoes left over from the Edmonton series as it looks like he’s going to need all the luck in the world tonight! |

Price has been good, but credit to the Hab's D. They all seem to have good sticks, and are doing a good job at keeping things to the outside. |

Are you referring to Patrick whats-his-name? Since December 2019 he has been outscored by Andrew Copp (Copp scored 15 goals this year, Laine got 12 - Copp scored more after December last year than Laine also - dont ask me why). Copp finished 5th on the Jets in scoring in 20/21.
In Columbus Laine finished tied for 3rd in goals with 12 goals (tied with Roslovic). This counts the two he scored in the season opener with Jets. He was a team worst -28 (-29 if you count the games with Jets). The next closest on the team was -18. Though there are more important stats than +/- this one tells a lot about the state of his game and why the Jets were right to dump him for a bag of pucks before his 8m RFA qualifying offer and cap hit comes due. |

Teflon Connor was everything you said last night. He thinks offense all the time and takes bad risks because of it. Fly-by stick checks, toe drags in traffic, risky passes etc. He has to be much better.
Remember when Wheeler was a terror on the forecheck every shift and hit the neutral zone with speed consistently? Once or twice a game is all he musters up recently.
Last night I trusted Forbort to take care of business more than Morrissey who was in la-la land on the Armia shorty. First he took his time getting to the pass back to the point, then made a soft pass into traffic forcing Stasny to move it quickly and the pass was picked. He finished it with a poorly timed sprawl that Armia beat.

Yep. A hot goalie almost always has a team playing committed defense.

I really miss Armia!!! That guy was my favorite Jets when he played here. I was so sad on the day he was traded.

Not sure if this is a stat anywhere but would like to know how many times this season the Jets have allowed a goal within the final minute of a period. Feels like it must of have over a dozen times this year.
Would have like this team to win at least one game this series. I believe schiefele’s suspension carries over to the regular season. Correct me if I’m wrong.

If Jets lose this series, they need to fire everyone from Chevelallseasonoff down. This franchise needs a change in philosophy. New coach and an active GM might accomplish something!
Scheifele’s suspension does carry over to next season if we don’t come back in this one. |

I love Logan Stanley. He’s going to be the Jets anchor on the blue line in 2 years. Needs a coach that plays him like a number 1. |
