The Barracuda also dipped into the free-agent market, signing a pair of WHL players. The bigger fish of the two is former Portland Winterhawks captain Nick Cicek. Cicek, a Winnipeg-born, 201-pound defenseman Their other signing, Montana Onyebuchi from the Kamloops Blazers, carries a somewhat similar development pattern. Similar in size (6′ 3″, 209 pounds) to Cicek, Onyebuchi also had an offensive breakout campaign with 12 points in 20 games. The Barracuda hope that the two overagers can boost their defense in the coming years.

One of the defenders you wanted to draft years back getting a shot in the AHL. |

If anyone cares, it’s going to be 39 degrees in Cultus next weekend. Time to forget about hockey and get outside to enjoy the weather while it lasts.
If you heed my advice you’ll thank me later. |

Ty Carol
Back to the last blog.
It was 28 degrees here, I was outside enjoying the weather.😁
I checked in here a couple times last night, to see if anyone had anything intelligent to say, as expected, there was nothing. - Reubenkincade
I take umbrage to that lol
1st why does anyone expect intelligence to be a standard in here.
2nd if it is a standard what qualifies?
Askin for a friend... |

Colorado will be interesting, they have a lot of choices to make. I wonder if Landeskog will sign a threeve year deal somewhere (counting is hard so made up a numbers are easier) |

If they trade Miller for Foote that should leave some cap space to sign Landeskog to as many years as Benning can count to. |

Landeskog probably has a deal in place, or close to and won't sign until after the e-draft |

Mike Russo from the Athletic says 50/50 chance. They want a centre for KK. |

Fiala is not worth Miller, but something around Miller + Roussell +OJ for Fiala + Dumba could be good. |

I thought we are trading Miller for Foote.

Not sure how high that is, not sure if it'd even be numbers at that point |

If 9oa was traded no matter what, would thus be a decent enough return?

Personally, I wouldn't do this trade.
Not that I think it's far off from value but MDP being the possible 3rd string next season. LE only has one year left and it saves 2M to buy him out this season. Reinhart is going to make probably 5+ on a term contract this season where in a season or two the 9oa pick will be maybe the same value as Reinhart is right now but at 925K a season with bonuses for 3 years. |

Thanks Carol! Id love adding Graves. Our D needs a shake, anyone that was on the defensive zone starts and pk last year needs to be scrutinized. Way too many qualiy shots to compete. |

I think I put out a similar "fair value" trade a bit back that looked like that for Reinhart. However, I'd like to see JB decidedly win a trade like that for once, instead of being an honest/standup guy.
I would love Reinhart on the team, but think the D needs fixing more than the top 6. If it's a complete W of a trade, then ya, I'd pull the trigger for him. |
