No....this things over, the Canadiens are in over their heads at this point with a much deeper, better team in the Tampa Bay Lightning.

No, how much it pains me to say this it's over for Montreal.

This reminds me of the 2009 Habs/Bruins series.

Mtl threw everything that they had at Boston but were still swept.

They just cannot compete with Tampa.

I hope they can steal a game or two to make it more enjoyable but Price has to stand on his head and get a shutout for that to happen.

The Habs simply cannot score on Vasilevskiy.

Yes, of course they can. Nothing's happened until someone loses a home game. Tonight they get their first 10k crowd of Habs fans in the Centre Bell. There's still hope.

They need Price to steal games in order to compete with the Bolts I cannot see that happening Come back boys when you grow up. Your best players have been some long in the tooth players and they are running on fumes Bolts in 3

Tampa Is the best team In the league, Montreal shouldn't even be In the playoffs so your headline/question Is really stupid!!!!

The premise of your statement is wrong. The regular season exists for exactly two reasons:
1. Generate revenue for the teams and league
2. Determine seeding for the only games that matter... the playoffs.

If the regular season meant anything 52% of NHL teams wouldn't make the playoffs, and the President's Trophy winning teams would have a near perfect record in winning the Cup.

The best teams are determined in the playoffs and not before. Tampa and Montreal are the best teams.

This is a bumpersticker phrase that doesn't actually mean anything.

For Example,

Game 1 - Home team wins (Tampa)
Game 2 - Home team wins (Tampa)
Game 3 - Home team wins (Montreal)
Game 4 - Home team wins (Montreal)
Game 5 - Home team wins (Tampa)
Game 6 - Home team wins (Montreal)
Game 7 - Home team wins (Tampa)

Look at that, nobody lost a game at home and something happens!

Anyways, it's not over until it's over but it's clearly going to be decided by the Lightning. Whether they want to show up and take the cup or go afk in which case Montreal could possibly win.

Why do so many people pretend that they can only understand the literal definition of words? The phrase obviously has an implied meaning.

Sorry I was in Lake Placid in vaca.. had no idea they got turned down by the Quebec govt.

As far as I'm concerned, no American and certainly not a NY state resident like me has room to criticize another country's Covid response.

It's not federal it's provincial. The feds just sit and say nothing.

Only real way this becomes a real series is if Montreal can find a way to take both at home.

Tampa has more depth and talent and Montreal’s storm the crease and hit/run roughshod isn’t working. Tampa can play that heavy way too.

Only thing that worked well was Montreal skating and pushing the tempo like the last game 2nd period. Problem is they can’t maintain that a full 60 minutes and defending against Tampa in a more flow game is just a bear.

Unless Price can go god mode for extended games here think Tampa is going to take this.
