If pissed off fan bases are a sign of a good hire, then Barstool Bob is finally making some good hires. First, it was Kings fans with Solomon and Stothers, and now Habs fans with Bouchard. I have a feeling either Murray or probably Martin Madden let Bouchard know that Eakins is on a short leash and there is a great chance he'll be the next head coach.

He is incredible with the youngsters. Montreal had issues for years with player development, and when Bouchard took over, it was completely night and day. If the Ducks start off slow, I have a feeling he will be the head coach sooner rather than later. And I think he will kill it!

Love the hire. Habs fans were lamenting the loss of Joel Straight away.

His development of the kids in Laval was very impressive if he can do the same with Perreault / Colangelo / Dostal / Thrun / Benoit / Groulx we are going really have something cooking.

He’s put in his time there and with Montreal’s playoff run his path to NHL HC would have been blocked by ducharme for the next few years.

Exactly, he had been offered assistant coach for the Habs, but he will become HC in Anaheim much quicker thant in MTL.
