Well Asplund will be protected as Skinner waived his NMC to make this happen (presumably). And no way Kaepenen is not protected (either by list or trade of some sort). And is it really a smart business decision to trade away capital you don’t already have for a player in Drouin whom is having personal issues with no end in sight of them being resolved? Imo I’d say no. Too much to do to make this nothing more than a fantasy.

I might not have asked this but why are the Kraken taking Lizzotte over any other Kings player? He’s zero threat on offense, he’s small and gets pushed around with ease. He has a good forecheck, but I’d say that’s about it. I mean I know the Kings aren’t loaded with talent, but why would they take one of the Kings worst players? And this is an unrealistic roster, yet you still ha e them taking Lizzotte.

What exactly is the point of this blog? It's neither realistic or the fun best possible scenario for the Kraken where they end up with a top line of Gaudreau, Crosby, and Kane.

You sound like you are selling JVR as a new barely used car. Like you would like to be rid of him. Fact is, he is not a bad target, but 7M for 2 more years as a 32 year old who has had some injuries does not make him optimal. And maybe he wants to stay out east. Born and raised Jersey boy heading west may not be in the best of his interests either. If fletch wants to hold on to 2-3M and attach a piece I can easily see it.

As a mid-6 winger and PP net guy, he's pretty useful. He's not a superstar, but he's only signed for 2 years and the Kraken will have the cap space.
